Welcome to the official site for the 2011 U.S. Masters Synchronized Swimming Championships

What began as a sporting event has become so much more...
U.S. Synchronized Swimming, Inc. and Sacramento Synchro are proud to partner with the Sacramento Valley Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and the California Skin Cancer Prevention Program to bring a unique and memorable event to California. From October 13-16, 2011 we will be highlighting the importance of breast and skin cancer prevention and the lifetime benefits of physical fitness and sun safety to synchronized swimmers at the 2011 U.S. Masters Championships. The culminating event will be a Guinness World Records™ attempt of the largest synchronized swimming float formation: "The World's Largest Human Floating Pink Ribbon." This is an educational and fundraising event to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Three hundred and twenty five masters level synchronized swimmers will team together with local breast cancer survivors to attempt to set this first-ever world record.

Introducing the Brain Athlete training technology from our sponsors, B-Bridge International
The BrainAthlete system is the first sports training unit available for
general consumers to track an athlete’s level of concentration, helping
them find their "zone." Three non-invasive contact points act as a portable electroencephalogram (EEG), reading the brainwaves created by your brain's neural activity. Use this cutting-edge technology to track concentration levels during a workout and analyze performance in real-time or after a training session. Take a look at the below videos to learn more!

What is a Float?
The float formation is a staple of classic synchronized swimming, embodied by the spectacular swimming scenes in classic Esther Williams films. Contemporary floats are composed of interconnected swimmers who remain on the surface of the water to create intricate shapes.
